I’m Ali.
I offer a heart-centred, gently re-energising and deeply relaxing yoga practise, blending Hatha, Yin and Restorative styles. My classes are beginner friendly but with enough options routinely offered so that you might gently challenge yourself if you'd like. We often use props to support our practise. You can expect a warm, relaxed welcome.
My first experience of yoga was aged 19, many years ago now. My “why” remains the same: the sense of openness and calm in whole body mind that yoga and its philosophy offer. I’m particularly inspired by the mind-breath-body connection - the conscious interplay of somatic, mindful movement - breath work and restorative poses having a transformational effect on the whole body.
I am a fully trained, accredited yoga teacher, with further trainings in Restorative, Yin, Menopause, Kids and Teen yoga, as well as Circle Holding and Yoga for Bone Health.
I believe yoga and its philosophy is for every stage of life but our practise and relationship with it will necessarily evolve through the years. It’s important to find the right style for you at any given time. I invite you to take time for you, tune inwards, come back to yourself, release expectation and judgment, allowing receipt of inner calm, through movement, connection, nurture and rest.

"I thoroughly enjoyed the Yoga for Menopause course with Ali. The sessions were very informative with each class focusing on one aspect of the Menopause. I enjoyed listening to Ali’s information and advice and then having an exchange within the group about our own experiences. It was a very comfortable and sheltered atmosphere, and everyone was very supportive of each other. The meditation and Yoga exercises were easy to follow and adjusted to individual abilities. It was good to meet other women who were happy to speak openly about their problems with the menopause. I would recommend to every woman going through Menopause to go and experience these superb classes. "
