Restorative Yoga
Join me as we gather for deep rest honouring the gentle guidance of the winter season, encouraging us to be slow.
Precious time to tune quietly inwards, supported by soft props and cocooned in blankets, lavender eye pillow over gently closed eyes. Lighting is low, candlelight flickers gently.
Nowhere else you need to be, nothing you need to be doing, just surrendering in the moment.
By allowing the body to truly rest, we access the parasympathetic nervous system - also known as rest and digest. Heart rate slows, blood pressure lowers, the mind softens. We release the "bags" we carry, with a deep inner sigh, letting go of tension we hadn't realised we were holding. Eyes sink a little deeper into the sockets and we rest enveloped in supported stillness.
You need no yoga experience or bendiness. The practise is slow and mindful and very much based down on the floor.
We close the session in softness, with a warming cacao, integrating gently back into reality.
Places are limited to ensure a comfortable small group setting.
